A relocation or property search agent could be described as the opposite to an estate agent. Instead of working on behalf of the seller, an independent property search agent will only ever act for purchasers of property. In this way there can be no conflict of interests as they will only ever be a position to act on behalf of buyers.

A property search agent will be able to advise their clients on all aspects of purchasing property within the local area that they cover. Usually a meeting would be set up to allow the search agent and potential client to discuss in detail their property requirements. It is vital that a good rapport and understanding are established at an early stage, as this is a necessity if there is any likelihood of finding the 'dream property'. 

The aim of a property search agent is to save their clients time, money and stress, by taking the hard work out of looking for a property. By previewing all the potential properties, it is possible to avoid many of the wasted journeys to see properties that are completely unsuitable, that are normally seen as part and parcel of the hunt for a new home.

Once a property has been found then the search agents local knowledge and understanding of the negotiating process will invariably mean that they can secure the deal at the lowest price.
